My son is the kind of kid that will try something out and give it up shortly after. However, at Code Wiz they understood him, and he has never wanted to miss a class.

Before you book

We know what you're actually worried about.

The three things every parent asks us — and the honest answers we give back.

1
"What if my kid loses interest after a few weeks?"

Most don't. The most common thing parents tell us in reviews is some version of "he never wants to miss a class." We start with what your kid already loves — Minecraft, Roblox, robots, games — and build from there. No worksheets. No lectures.

2
"What if my kid gets lost in a big group?"

They won't. Our classes run 1 coach for every 4 kids (ages 6–9) and 1:5 for older students. Our coaches know every child by name. You're not dropping your child into a chain — you're joining a small Arlington community.

3
"How will I know what they're actually learning?"

Weekly project recaps. Every week you'll know what your child built, which skills they practiced, and what's next. Plus you'll see their actual project. You'll never wonder what happened in class.

🤖 Most popular program

Real robots. Real code.
Real "I built that."

Robotics is the program parents tell us creates the biggest moment of pride. Kids design their robot in CAD, 3D-print the parts, program it to move and battle — and take it home at the end.

That robot becomes the thing they show grandparents, friends, teachers. The thing they're proud of for months — long after class is over.

Five tracks. Every kid finds theirs.

We meet every kid exactly where they are — whether they've never written a line of code, or they've been modding Minecraft since they were seven. Pick what they're already obsessed with, and watch real coding skills happen on the side.

Minecraft coding class for kids
🟩 Minecraft

The game they already play —
except now they build it.

Minecraft coding classes for kids use the world your kid is already obsessed with. We turn hours of "just playing" into real programming — custom mods, mini-games, tools they design from scratch. The kid who wouldn't sit still for a math worksheet will spend an hour debugging their own block-placement script. That's the trick.

Ages 6–17 Beginner to advanced Real code, not just play
What kids actually build:
  • Custom mods that add new blocks & items
  • Mini-games friends can play
  • Automated farms & redstone contraptions
  • Their own Minecraft world from scratch
Roblox game design class for kids
🎮 Roblox

Make the game.
Don't just play it.

Roblox coding classes teach kids real Lua scripting — the actual programming language professional Roblox developers use. They start by designing a level, then write the code that makes it run. By the end, their friends can search Roblox by name and play what your kid built.

Ages 6–17 Lua scripting language Publishable games
What kids actually build:
  • Obbies (obstacle courses) friends can play
  • Roleplay worlds with their own rules
  • Tycoon games with scripted economies
  • Battle arenas with custom mechanics
Kids coding in Python, Scratch and Java
🐍 Coding · Scratch · Python · Java

From drag-and-drop
to real Python and Java.

Our coding classes for kids are built around a real progression. The 7-year-old who starts in Scratch ends up writing Python — same kid, same coaches, every step laid out. Older kids and teens jump straight into Python, Java, and even build their own apps. Real languages. Real syntax. Real portfolio projects for high school applications.

Ages 6–17 Scratch → Python → Java Portfolio-worthy projects
What kids actually build:
  • Scratch animations & story games (ages 6–9)
  • Python adventure games with logic & functions
  • Java apps & algorithms for teens
  • Portfolio projects for high school applications
Teen working with AI tools in a Code Wiz class
🧠 AI & Design

The skill set
school hasn't caught up to yet.

AI is already in your kid's life — homework, games, social feeds. The question isn't whether they'll use it, it's whether they'll understand it. Our AI classes for teens teach how large language models actually work, how to build with them responsibly, and how to think critically about what they generate. This is the literacy that will matter most over the next decade.

Ages 10–17 AI literacy Build with AI tools
What kids actually build:
  • Their own AI-powered chatbot
  • Image generators they prompt & refine
  • Coded projects using AI as a collaborator
  • Critical thinking about what AI gets wrong
The Code Wiz Difference

Why choose Code Wiz?

We build the habits, confidence, and critical thinking your child will carry for life — not just coding skills.

💪

Resilience

Through debugging, iterating, and building real projects step-by-step, kids practice sticking with hard problems — and discover they can figure things out.

🎨

Creativity

Kids imagine, design, and build things that are uniquely theirs — games, robots, apps, mods. They don't just use technology, they shape it.

🔍

Curiosity

Kids explore thoughtfully, ask better questions, and develop habits that help them navigate whatever comes next — in school, in life, and in a world shaped by AI.

How We Build These Skills

Hands-on projects kids love: Kids build games, robots, and apps they're genuinely excited about — learning happens by doing.

Small classes, dedicated coaches: 1:4 ratio for ages 6–9. Every child gets personalized attention — never lost in a crowd.

Weekly project recaps: Know exactly what your child built and what they learned, every single week.

Summer camp questions

Things parents always ask about camp.

?My child has tried other summer camps and lost interest. Will this be different?+
Honestly? It usually is — and we hear this a lot. The most common parent feedback is some version of "my kid actually looks forward to camp." The reason: we don't run camp like sports camp or arts camp. We start inside games and worlds your kid already loves (Minecraft camp, Roblox camp, robots they get to take home from robotics camp), and the learning happens because they want to keep building. Reserve a week and you'll see the difference on day one.
?What ages do you serve?+
Kids ages 6 to 17 — with programs scaled for every level, from visual Scratch blocks for beginners all the way to Python, Java, and advanced robotics for teens.
?Does my child need any prior experience for camp?+
None at all. Camp coaches meet every kid where they are — whether they've never touched code or already build games on their own. Our summer camps in Arlington MA, are designed for first-timers and experienced young coders alike.
?Do you offer summer camps for teenagers?+
Yes — our coding camp, robotics camp, and Python camp all run through age 17. Teens work in Python, Java, and advanced robotics during full-day camp weeks, building portfolio-worthy projects. Many of our older campers use their summer projects for high school applications and college portfolios.
?Are your summer camps open to families outside Arlington?+
Absolutely. Our summer camps in Arlington are open to all MA residents — we regularly host campers from , , Junction, and across and Middlesex County. Whether you're looking for a coding summer camp near or a robotics summer camp near you, our Arlington, MA location is a short drive from anywhere in the area. No residency requirement.
?What does a camp week include?+
Full-day STEM camp Monday through Friday. Each themed camp week (Minecraft camp, Roblox camp, robotics camp, Python camp, AI camp) is a complete project arc — kids start a build on Monday and leave Friday with something real they made. Coaches, materials, and snacks included.
?How much does summer camp cost?+
$299 per camp week — full-day Monday through Friday, coaches, materials, and snacks all included. Sibling discounts available for families enrolling more than one child. Multi-week discounts available when you book multiple weeks of camp. Reserve a week and we'll walk you through the available discounts on the call.
?How small are the camp groups?+
Intentionally small: 1 coach for every 4 campers ages 6–9, and 1 for every 5 campers ages 10+. Your child gets real attention every day of camp — not just a counselor running the room.
?How will I know what my child is learning at camp?+
Daily updates and a Friday project showcase — you'll see exactly what your child built that week. Plus they bring home physical projects from robotics camp and digital projects from coding camp, Minecraft camp, and Roblox camp.
Two minutes. No commitment.
